Elizabeth Ann Martin was born on July 3, 1983. Diagnosed at birth with a rare genetic disability which impacts her language and her fine and gross motor skills, Elizabeth has had years of Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy to assist in the development of her skills. She began her art career with visionary teachers who supported her full participation in the general education environment by accommodating her needs to maximize her potential. Elizabeth participated in the VSA Art Program, an intro to Art Media taught by artist Mentors of various disabilities. This experience led to years of support and art programs at The Art Experience. Elizabeth also participated in many Art programs at Birmingham Bloomfield Art Association, including printmaking and tile making. She is currently enrolled in the Ceramics Program at Oakland Community College in Royal Oak.
